Core Values
Promoting Conservation From Within
BToL engages communities from different tribes to participate in tree-planting expeditions — not only to appreciate and respect the benefits of a well-conserved environment, but to engage communities in networking as one, putting differences aside for the sake of our shared environment.
The expeditions are moments of learning: communities describe indigenous trees, share the uses of diverse plants, and realize the wonder of spending time together — an experience only possible in a conserved environment.
BToL also taps these expeditions to create awareness on the importance of tree-planting, especially in periods of prolonged drought, and to help communities understand their role in participatory forest management.
